Zion Pre-K Accreditation

ELCA

Zion Pre-K is proud to be part of the Lutheran preschool programs that have completed all requirements to be awarded a full ELCA Accreditation. The Preschool staff, Accreditation team lead by Stan Peichel, Hope Luedtke, Pastor Connie, and previously Pastor Peter committed over 2 years to prepare for the Accreditation team visit. Accreditation is a process of evaluation which begins with a self-study, followed by a visit of objective observers to help ELCA early childhood centers, improve the quality of programs. After a 3 day visit in March 2015, it was determined that Zion Pre-K be awarded full accreditation status from the ELEA. The entire process brought preschool improvements and increased collaboration and cohesiveness between Zion Lutheran Church and Zion Pre-K through June 2022.

The members of the ELEA Accreditation team, Hugh Kress, Marlene Colvin, Barb LeClaire and Deb Bigley spent three days reviewing Zion’s Pre-K program. After a full analysis of the curriculum; the staff, the classrooms, interviews with parents and Zion members, and much, we are proud to have been awarded full Accreditation!
